Choice of Rice for Pulao 

There are variety of rice in food grains. Some of uses for Payas, some for Biriyani and some for Pulao. The taste of food depends on the choice of exact ingredients, rice. I always prefer Basmati rice (Long grain rice) for pulao. The texture and the flavour become amazing by using basmati rice.

Tips for preparation of Prawn Pulao

Use olive oil to prepare Prawn Pulao. You can use any refined oil but I recommend using olive oil. It is highly healthful and the taste of pulao is also
extremely wonderful.

Marination is very much important to make this tasty dish. The longer you marinate, the better the effect. Make sure that all ingredients are properly marinated. 

You can prepare the same in a pressure cooker also. But in a low flame and be cautious about water consumption.

The preparation of Prawn Pulao is very simple and easy. Just keep in mind regarding proper marination. All ingredients must be marinated evenly. As long as you marinate it, the flavour will be delicious.

Step 1

Chop potato, onion, garlic, ginger, tomato and green chilli.

Step 2

Take a bowl. Add rice, prawn, all chopped potato, onion, garlic, tomato, green chilli, salt, sugar, Kashmiri red chilli, turmeric powder, garam masala and mix well. Refrigerate it for 1 hour.

Step 3

Pour 3 tablespoon of olive oil into a pan and heat well. Add dry spices.

Step 4

When the spices crackle, add marinated rice, cover, and simmer on a low flame for 5 minutes.

Step 5

Add some water and cover on a low flame for 15-20 minutes.

Step 6

Add ghee when the rice is cooked well and mix it.

Step 7

Prawn Pulao is ready to serve. Serve it with pickles/ curds.
